"She has joined the methods of Stanislavski and the Eric Morris System to the highly structured approach of the English theatre, and created a process that allows actors to work both organically and with carefully crafted style. As a teacher, April is funny, creative, imaginative, and encouraging."

—Elizabeth Browning, Acting Instructor (EB Studios, NY)

"No matter how much I think I know I always learn something new when attending her workshop."

Workshops

Workshops are designed for Theatre Companies, Colleges, Middle/High Schools and Drama Programs, regionally throughout the United States, depending on the institution's needs. Professional Workshops for Actors are normally held in New York and Philadelphia.

Fun, dynamic and powerful, Simply Shakespeare Workshops explore text from the outside-in AND from the inside-out, utilizing numerous methodologies that integrate voice, movement and acting crafts. Workshops provide artists with a toolbox of exercises designed to aid them in breaking free of stereotypical thinking and static acting. The intention is to learn to develop characters using organic and dynamic choices vocally and physically, and linking up given circumstances to strong, active objectives based upon fully supported text choices. Other Workshops on audition skills or romps into the world of a specific Shakespeare play are also available.

See Calendar for Upcoming Workshop schedules, or feel free to contact us for additional information.
